Having always played his rugby in the back row Michael converted to loose head prop this season in order to give him every chance to play at this level. The gamble paid off, completed with hard work on his own. Michael is in the middle of another good season.
Still only 16 Chris is very much the baby of the Colts squad and initially was perhaps a little overawed. He has worked hard and along with Michael commands a starting place in the Glasgow Buccaneers line up. With 2 more years at this level he is capable of playing at a high level. He is under no illusion of the hard word in front of him but representative rugby at National level is not out of the question at some point. It will be down to how much he wants it.
Stewart has forced his way into the Glasgow Pirates squad after some impressive displays for the colts and an excellent Dumfries & Galloway trial match. After a poor year last season by his standards he powered his way back to form and now commands a starting place in the squad. Having already made his first team debut for Annan he will no doubt feature again before the end of the season and will be a major player in Annan RFC 1st XV next season.
