So we travel to Garnock to take on the North Ayrshire club for the 12th time at a 1st XV competitive level.
This will be our 6th visit to Glengarnock, which has not been a happy hunting ground for the Annan 1st XV.
We have won once and lost four times. Our only win was back in 1998 in the Cup (maybe an omen?) when we ran out 18-10 winners.
We first met back in 1994 in National Division 7, which Annan won, and Annan also won the next 2 meetings.
Then in 2006 we met for the 4th time, and this time Garnock were victorious, which they then were for the next 6 meetings!
It wasn't until last year that Annan finally stopped the losing run and won a classic game 3-0!
This season, Garnock have played 5, Won 5 (1 in the Shield and 4 in the league) while Annan have a played 4 won 2 record (1 in the Shield and 1 in the league).
Garnock will be firm favourites to win this clash but Annan will be wanting to extend this winning run over Garnock!
My prediction for the game: A Craig McCann drop goal in the last minute for the win! (3-0 win at that!)
